As the Head of Business/ ICT, you will play a crucial role in fostering a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages the development of each student to their full potential. Working collaboratively with the Curriculum Team Leader, you will contribute to the creation of an inclusive and supportive atmosphere that values the skills, interests, and experiences students bring to the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- To plan, resource and deliver imaginative, interactive and inspiring schemes of learning and lessons that ensure that all students make excellent progress and attain at high levels
- To provide a nurturing and stimulating classroom and academy environment that helps students to develop as learners
- To maintain/establish positive behaviour for learning across the whole academy
- To contribute to the effective working of the academy
- To support students in the acquisition and development of learning dispositions and positive character traits
- To provide stimulating and enriching extra-curricular/enrichment opportunities for students and potentially for members of the wider school community
- Set appropriate homework and assess, record, track, mark and report student progress using available data.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Degree level qualification with substantial Business Studies / ICT content.
- Ability to contribute to the overall development and organisation of the school.
- Commitment to equal opportunities and a positive learning environment.
- An enthusiastic Business specialist with the ability to teach at KS4/5
- Passionate about Business and has excellent subject knowledge.
- Ambitious and committed to the very highest standards of student learning.
- An excellent classroom practitioner with a drive for self-improvement and development.
