Role and Responsibilities
•
Ensure accurate and process-oriented workflow of all the core teams and timely delivery of all data.
•
Consistently review procedures and processes to identify enhancements and efficiencies that could be created through additional tools.

Client Support – Includes addressing client queries and timely resolution of issues.
•
Liaise with internal teams to assist in resolution of incoming queries regarding the Index business.
•
Jointly work with IT and other business colleagues to make sure new capabilities are implemented in an efficient and effective manner.
•
Able to submit proposals to clients for enhancing our overall operations business.
•
Support change management, automation and continuous improvement projects.
•
Share knowledge, experience and provide appropriate training, guidance or coaching for the team.
•
Manage staff on a daily basis, assign responsibilities, ensure appropriate staff levels and provide necessary training.
•
Demonstrate a proactive approach to all activities and create the environment for others to emulate this behavior.
•
Provide timely and accurate responses to enquiries from clients.
•
Interface with clients to support new product launches and resolve queries related to Index ongoing maintenance.
•
Able to manage multiple operations teams and promote a culture to align all the teams.
•
Establish and maintain relationships with key personnel at our clients/ vendors etc.
•
Be detail-oriented and able to oversee completion of all required tasks in a timely manner.
•
Solving the issues faced by teams and lead them to ensure smooth operations.
•
Motivate the team to come up with new ideas and create proposals to be submitted to the clients.
Knowledge and Experience
•
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Index Management including Index Development, Calculation, Maintenance, Corporate actions, Research
•
Proficiency in MS Excel required. Experience with Visual Basic, Python and SQL would be an added advantage.
•
A bachelor’s or master’s degree with a strong academic record is required.
•
Should have excellent leadership skills.
•
Previous experience in a supervisory or management role is strongly preferred.
•
Working knowledge of global financial markets with a focus on equity securities
•
Having good understanding of the entire indexing life cycle from creation of an index to maintenance and calculation.
•
Must be a detail-oriented self-starter who excels at meeting strict deadlines and must also be comfortable working with international clients.
•
Able to manage and collaborate team members across different locations and time zone.
•
Familiarity with different data providers such as Bloomberg, Reuters, etc. is required.
•
Ability to identify and solve issues effectively and on time.
•
Manage large-scale projects within the team as needed.
•
Ability to manage large teams and address people issues.
