About the role:
It is a 3 months Geelong based contract role. FT hours - 38 hrs per week. Hybrid working.
Job Summary:
As an HR Assistant, your primary responsibility will be handling employee queries and supporting the P&C team. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth communication between employees and the HR department, providing support and resolving issues efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Address and resolve employee queries regarding HR and employee related concerns.
- Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources executives.
- Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies).
- Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, etc.).
- Properly handle complaints and grievance procedures.
- Conduct initial orientation to newly hired employees.
- Assist our recruiters to source candidates and update our database.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an HR Assistant, Staff Assistant, or relevant human resources/administrative position.
- Strong knowledge of HR function.
- Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of HRMS is a plus.
- Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude.
- Strong ethics and reliability.
- High School diploma; additional education in Human Resource Management or a relevant field is a plus.
