The Firm
We’re recruiting an Intermediate or Senior Accountant to join a 10 person strong boutique firm just outside Newcastle city centre. With strong processes, purpose as a trusted advisor to their solid SME and individual client base, this firm is able to uniquely offer the option of a full time, 4 day/week and/or Hybrid work arrangement depending on what your ideal set up is. Join great leaders and their Business Services and Advisory team to assist with the growth of their client base and help make a great firm awesome!

The Role
This role is perfect for an experienced intermediate who has a dedicated work ethic and can take responsibility for their time-management and workflow or a Senior who is ready to take on more responsibilities and be pushed to excel.
Day to day you’ll:
- Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSF
- Gain exposure to tax planning work, as well as indirect tax matters
- Provide advice within business advisory on cash flow forecasting etc.
- Provide guidance to juniors and graduates and work collaboratively with the greater support team
Skills & Experience
- CA/CPA qualification, in progress, or an interest in commencing
- Ability to work independently without supervision
- Minimum 2 years Public Practice experience
- Tech savviness and confidence in working with clients virtually
- Australian/NZ permanent residency essential
