Position Overview: As a Learning & Development Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing, analysing, and addressing current and future learning needs within the organisation. You will design, deliver, and manage a variety of learning programs and initiatives, ranging from face-to-face sessions to eLearning content. Additionally, you will serve as the subject matter expert for all L&D matters, providing guidance and support to stakeholders across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyse current and future learning and development needs, including Personal Development Plans (PDP) and L&D requests.
- Design and deliver (or facilitate the delivery of) learning and development solutions to meet organisational objectives.
- Manage face-to-face learning offerings, including HBDI, First Nations Cultural Awareness, and other relevant programs.
- Oversee and communicate our learning catalogue and mandatory compliance training requirements.
- Manage the Leadership Development program, including Leadership Circle, Leadership Masterclasses, and Conflict Management workshops.
- Coordinate and manage our Coaching program to support employee growth and development.
- Review and develop eLearning content to align with business needs and objectives.
- Manage the learning aspects of our Spark (ELMO) system, including course management, invitations, attendance recording, and CPD tracking.
- Provide support for technical legal training initiatives within the organisation.
- Serve as the L&D subject matter expert, possessing a sound knowledge of company policies and procedures.
- Coach and advise stakeholders on best practices in learning and development.
- Manage communications, completion rates, and responses to the annual People Matter survey to drive employee engagement and satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Education, or related field.
- Proven experience in learning and development roles, preferably in a similar industry or sector.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and eLearning authoring tools.
- Project management experience and ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Commitment to staying updated on industry trends and best practices in L&D.
