Reporting to the Vice-president of Operations the Project Manager is responsible to coordinate the electrical construction projects, be the liaison between the job site & the Project Manager and all foreman(s). Responsibilities
-Receive requisitions and issue purchase order numbers for all the purchases and expenditures of the company
-Coordinate all projects – materials, supplies, electrical equipment, tools & construction equipment and scheduling of such to meet project deadlines.
-Responsible to submit, review and ensure the accuracy of shop drawings – modify as required.
-Maintaining meticulous records to ensure proper flow of shop drawings, information and materials/supplies as required on job site and to & from Project Managers.
-Arrange for the production of shop drawings, when necessary, at the job site facility or by outside contractor.
-Preparation of material requisitions for Purchasing Agent.
-Obtain all necessary permits, certificates, bonds and insurance policies, as required by local, Provincial, or Federal regulations.
-Prepare Maintenance Manuals and submit.
- At close-out, prepare warranty letter, certificate of WCB (if required) & Insurance, and final lien release.
-Maintain all project files which include copies of PO’s, project related packages,
- Other task as assigned
Qualifications
-Minimum of 3 years of experience in Contracting construction and /or repair services coordinating purchases
-Experience with electrical contracting (asset)
-Supervisory experience (huge asset)
-Extensive computer experience with inventory and/or purchasing software and be fully comfortable with Spreadsheets
-Ability to defines problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
-Secondary education or equivalent with some business courses
-Preference of College education with Electrical Trade
