Job Title: MASH Social Worker
Location: Bridgend
Salary: £35-40ph
Randstad are working with Bridgend County Council to recruit a motivated Social Worker to join an IAA, Mash Team.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and triage incoming referrals, conducting initial assessments of risk and vulnerability.
- Gather and analyze information from a variety of sources, including partner agencies, professionals, and members of the public, to identify safeguarding concerns.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues within the MASH team, as well as with other professionals and agencies, to share information, assess risk, and develop appropriate plans of action.
- Provide advice and support to colleagues and partner agencies regarding safeguarding issues and procedures.
- Conduct thorough assessments of individuals and families, taking into account their strengths, needs, and risks, and develop and implement care plans tailored to their specific circumstances.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions, assessments, and interventions, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in regular team meetings, case conferences, and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills in safeguarding practice.
Requirements:
- Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification recognized by Social Care Wales.
- Registered with Social Care Wales as a Social Worker.
- Proven experience working in a similar role within a MASH or safeguarding team, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Excellent assessment and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage complex caseloads effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, as well as independently when required.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and keeping abreast of changes in legislation and best practice in safeguarding.
