Position Overview: As an SEN Maths Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality Maths education tailored to meet the unique needs of SEN students. Working closely with students, parents, and support staff, you will create personalised learning plans to ensure academic progress and holistic development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement engaging Maths lessons that accommodate the varying abilities and learning styles of SEN students.
- Provide differentiated instruction and individualised support to address the specific needs of each student.
- Collaborate with SEN coordinators, educational psychologists, and other professionals to develop and implement effective support strategies.
- Conduct ongoing assessment and evaluation of student progress, adjusting teaching methods as needed to facilitate learning.
- Maintain accurate records of student achievements, progress, and behaviour, ensuring compliance with school policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in Mathematics or a related field.
- Previous experience teaching Maths to students with SEN, preferably in a mainstream or SEN school environment.
- Sound knowledge of various SEN conditions, learning difficulties, and evidence-based teaching strategies.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
