The Production Technician is responsible for preparing and monitoring design and manufacturing schedules, taking into account the capacities of various departments, labor and material availability, equipment, and delivery commitments, as well as maintaining inventory at the required level. Additionally, you will participate in the implementation of continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing manufacturing processes and production team efficiency. To successfully fulfill your mandate, you will need to work closely with the sales, customer service, engineering, production, and procurement departments.

Responsibilities
Manage the production schedule for prefabricated chimneys in relation to orders and unforeseen changes.
Confirm production times and delivery deadlines for orders to supervisors and customers.
Plan the replenishment of raw materials and finished products inventories for prefabricated chimneys in collaboration with the buyer.
Analyze and coordinate requests and follow-ups for schedule and production changes.
Recommend actions and improve existing production planning processes and manufacturing processes.
Participate in daily production plan meetings with supervisors and team leaders.
Collaborate with other departments within the company to ensure effective management of production requirements.
Propose and implement new plant projects with the aim of improving manufacturing and production processes as well as employee health and safety.
Ensure that developed projects comply with current standards and regulations.
Qualifications
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
• DEC or BAC in a relevant discipline: industrial engineering (supply chain), operations research
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
• 2 to 3 years of relevant experience;
Experience in the manufacturing industry (metals) is an asset
Advanced Excel skills
