TOP PRIORITIES for THIS ROLE include:
- Work closely with business owners to determine business requirements, eliciting requirements through interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis.
-Use analytical and critical thinking skills to evaluate information gathered from key sources, reconcile conflicts, determine root cause of issues, and deconstruct high-level information in detail to design and deploy effective solutions and improvements.
- Provide support to cultivate a continuous improvement culture in Business Analysis and Project Management, coordinating the development, implementation and ongoing monitoring of projects, controls for schedules, cost and scope, performance measures and audit/quality assurance.
- Monitors various workstreams within the project to ensure timely execution and completion and ensure workstreams are completed appropriately and within guidelines of the project management framework as required for the specific area of responsibility.

-This role works with clients in various departments across the institution to recommend ways to enhance business operations and find efficiency improvements, including through improvements to information technology.
-They use industry best practices (BABOK), to thoroughly review, assess and document business requirements.
-They elicit and document business requirements and processes through interviews, use cases, scenarios, task and workflow analysis and lead workshops.
-They evaluate existing business processes to formulate new business initiatives and lead process review and improvement initiatives to ensure smooth transitions. They analyze and critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources,
reconciling conflicts and deconstructing high-level information into detailed requirements.
-They distinguish user-influenced requests from the true underlying business needs. They analyze tradeoffs between usability, technology, security, compliance, performance and other factors
that need to be considered when recommending solutions.
This role serves as a conduit between the clients, STO, and various IT teams and vendors to manage change of business applications and associated infrastructure. The BA will will develop business case documents, use case scenarios, business requirement documents, etc.

-This role leverages best practices in Waterfall and/or Agile methodology to lead projects.
- This role works with clients, technical subject matter experts, vendors and other project team members to initiate, plan, execute and control all project related items. This includes ensuring
deliverables and timelines are met, changes are properly documented and approved, issues addressed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Depending on the specific need at the time, Professional Services personnel would be responsible for one or more of the following:
- Following industry best practices, collaborate with stakeholders to develop detailed solutions. This must take into account business requirements, tolerance for change, budget availability, CCS technology, and detailed institutional priorities and initiatives.
- Develop in-depth understanding of a client’s complex business environment. Often this will require a thorough understanding of the client’s mandate, priorities, budget, strategic visions, business processes, metrics and challenges.
- Develop in depth understanding of CCS service offerings, technologies utilized, strategic plans and priorities.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of external environments such as industry IT trends and best practices, vendor offerings, other university IT initiatives.
- Identify communication, testing and training requirements to assist users in adopting new processes.
- Work with clients, STO and CCS to develop and execute effective testing plans, including data related migration and testing.
- Work with clients, STO and CCS to develop effective and execute documentation to assist in testing and training.
- During BA engagement, collects client satisfaction metrics and lessons learned, and applies this to future BA initiatives.
- Project planning including defining the project goals, objectives and deliverables, scope, budget, resource requirements, project tasks and timelines.
- Project Management including executing the project plan, resource management, monitoring and communicating status, monitoring and mitigating risk and changes, assuming responsibility for scope, time and cost management.
- Follow agreed upon change management processes to identify, document, review, approve, prioritize, communicate and implement all changes.
- Coordination of activities when requiring services of CCS units, others on campus, and vendors.
- Developing and maintaining positive relationships with various stakeholders across the University, acting as primary liaison between the University and vendors in project planning/execution.
- Report to STO and CCS lead on progress, results and be accountable for success of projects.
- Participate in project steering committees which help guide decision making within the
project.

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST-HAVE requirements:)
- Proven success in enterprise-wide Business Transformation and IT initiatives is required.

Proven track record in business analysis techniques using industry standards (such as BABOK).
- Proven track record managing projects using industry standards (such as PMI) to execute in an agile, waterfall or mixed environment.
Demonstrated leadership and collaboration.
- Strong technical competence with experience in large, enterprise wide initiatives including infrastructure, security, and applications.
- Understanding of the complexities that are present when working with a large and diverse user base including but not limited to students, staff, faculty, technical and non-technical personal.
- Proven experience with communication, promoting, training, support, and understanding of business process while leading an initiative.
- Proven experience with stakeholder and vendor relationships at various levels.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) with ability to work effectively with both business clients and technical team members.
- The ability to coordinate the efforts of many sub-teams (technical, non-technical, internal, external) simultaneously.
- Change management experience in an enterprise application environment including release management across development, test and production systems and maintaining related documentation.
HIGHLY DESIRABLE requirements:
