Role: Quantity Surveyor

We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our client, a market leader in the water treatment sector. This role will be based out of London, covering Thames Water projects providing vital cost management and contract administration services for a high-profile infrastructure framework.
You will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial efficiency and contractual compliance of the project, maintaining high standards of accuracy, quality, and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Providing comprehensive cost management and commercial support throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensuring exemplary financial control and adherence to budgetary constraints
- Overseeing the implementation of cost-saving measures and value engineering initiatives
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project teams at all levels
- Conducting thorough cost analysis, risk assessment, and financial reporting
- Preparing detailed bills of quantities, contracts, and procurement strategies
- Managing subcontractor and supplier relationships, including negotiation and administration of contracts
- Approving payment applications and ensuring timely payment processes
- Coordinating with Project Managers and other senior staff to ensure project milestones are met within budgetary limits
- Ensuring compliance with relevant construction contracts, particularly NEC and/or JCT
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in managing quantity surveying activities within the water treatment sector
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- Chartered status (MRICS or equivalent) is highly desirable
- In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, particularly NEC and/or JCT
- Strong understanding of construction cost management principles and financial reporting
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets effectively, conduct cost analysis, and achieve financial objectives
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience with infrastructure or civil engineering projects is highly advantageous
