Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management: As the Registered Manager, you will serve as the
cornerstone of our home's leadership. Your role includes empowering, guiding, and
supporting our team of compassionate Support Workers, Senior Support Workers and a
Deputy Manager. Through your inspirational leadership, you'll cultivate a culture of
excellence and empathy, ensuring the well-being of both children and staff.
Day-to-Day Operations: You will be responsible for the seamless daily operations of the
home. This involves coordinating care for our children, managing staff hours, well being
and overseeing regular supervision, and creating a safe and welcoming environment. Your
meticulous attention to detail will guarantee that every child receives the highest level of
care and support.
Quality Care: We are unwavering in our commitment to delivering
exceptional care. In this role, you will be the guardian of quality care, overseeing regular
assessments, personalised care planning, and monitoring the progress of our children
using our bespoke Outcomes Framework. Your dedication will play a pivotal role in
enhancing their quality of life.
Regulatory Compliance in Wales: Maintaining compliance with the latest regulatory
standards and guidelines specific to Wales is fundamental. You will stay updated on the
requirements set by the Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) and the Social Care Wales (SCW),
ensuring our residents receive the best care possible and that the home operates within
the legal framework. Your expertise in Welsh regulations will be invaluable in achieving
and maintaining high standards, you will have a good understanding of the RSICA
inspection framework and the Social Services and Well being Act, you will also understand
how to implement these frameworks into day to practice through upskilling the staff
around you.
Collaboration with DASHH Team: We are proud to offer innovative therapeutic support
through our DASHH team. As a Registered Manager, you will have the exceptional
opportunity to collaborate closely with our DASHH professionals, who provide expert
therapeutic support to our children. By working in synergy with this team, you will play an
integral part in enhancing our children's overall well-being and fostering a holistic
approach to care.
Qualifications and Experience:
QCF Level 4/5 in Health and Social Care, Children and Young People specific, or equivalent.
Proven experience as a Registered Manager in a residential care setting.
Comprehensive knowledge of relevant Welsh legislation and regulations.
Outstanding leadership and communication skills.
An unwavering passion for providing person-centered care.
