Lead and provide regulatory guidance and support throughout the product renovation and innovation of the portfolio while ensuring ingredient safety and claims alignment.
Be the primary point of contact regarding the regulatory status of new ingredients and formulations, associated claims, product naming, and labelling requirements for this region.
Provide accurate input, review, and guidance of project management files, including claims alignment and confirmation of labelling requirements.
Provide accurate inputs to the technical risk assessments of all product initiatives.
Complete robust regulatory review and approval of technical food label specifications for the portfolio.
Ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance of food labelling artwork across all projects, making full use of appropriate technology.
Provide effective business support on regulatory queries (compliance and opportunities, communications surrounding label content to relevant business teams and stakeholders) leveraging knowledge and experience in food labelling and artwork compliance.
Complete regulatory review and approval of commercial communications, including marketing and advertising copy and Ecomm platforms.
Manages advocacy agenda relevant to local business.
Sets and agrees agenda of advocacy topic(s).
Drives the position on the topic and related communication plan with other functions.
Stakeholder management and reporting. (internal as business partner, external as advocate)
Shapes regulatory affairs strategy for the region.
Is an active member of the global regulatory network / team.
Drives for change in regulation or establishing new product regulations.
Defends Tea Division position in the face of new regulations or amendment in regulations.
Develops and maintains excellent interfaces with relevant internal and external partners.
Strengthens/builds networks as required. (with technical regulators and relevant KOFs)
Has direct contact/represent company in external bodies e.g. TAs, scientific bodies, key opinion formers.
Supports Claims Strategy as well as Regulatory and Compliance Program in collaboration with Health Science Team.
Communicates information on issues, issue management, and regulatory activities.
Ensures regulatory requirements are integrated in core business process. (innovation, product changes, new claims and communication)
Assists Health Science team to support translation of science into meaningful communications for local brand positioning and activity.
