Job Summary:
The Risk Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the risk management framework for the healthcare company. This role involves identifying potential risks that could affect the organization's business operations and ensuring that these risks are appropriately managed and mitigated. The Risk Manager will work closely with various departments to promote a culture of risk awareness and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Risk Assessment and Identification:
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential risks (operational, financial, compliance, strategic) that could impact the company.
- Develop and maintain a risk register to document identified risks and their potential impact.
Risk Management and Mitigation:
- Design and implement risk management strategies and action plans to mitigate identified risks.
- Monitor and review the effectiveness of risk mitigation measures and adjust strategies as necessary.
Policy Development:
- Develop and update risk management policies and procedures in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that all staff members are aware of and comply with these policies.
Compliance and Regulatory Requirements:
- Ensure the company’s risk management practices are in compliance with Malaysian healthcare regulations and international standards.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure timely reporting and resolution of risk-related issues.
Training and Awareness:
- Organize and conduct risk management training programs for employees at all levels.
- Promote a culture of risk awareness and proactive risk management across the organization.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare regular risk management reports for senior management and the board of directors.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all risk management activities, including risk assessments, action plans, and incident reports.
Crisis Management:
- Develop and maintain crisis management plans to ensure the organization is prepared for unexpected events.
- Coordinate response efforts during crises to minimize impact on operations.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work collaboratively with other departments to integrate risk management into all aspects of the business.
- Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on risk management issues.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Certified Healthcare Risk Manager (CHRM), or equivalent are highly desirable.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in risk management, preferably within the healthcare industry.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing risk management frameworks and strategies.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in risk management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of Malaysian healthcare regulations and industry standards.
