As a Safety Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well being of the employees, clients, and the public while working on industrial, commercial, educational, and institutional projects.
Suitable candidates for this role will need to possess the following skills and experience.
... - Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- They will be required to be flexible and resilient with the ability to work alone.
- 3 years experience in HSE in the construction, infrastructure or other related industry
- Sound knowledge of HSE legislation
- Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and auditing of HSE Management Systems
Key accountabilities include:
- Improve competence and performance by providing professional advice on the knowledge and implementation of work site protection
- Ensure internal processes and procedures are established and verified to ensure alignment across all work fronts for a continuous safe environment.
- Coordinating and implementing WHS strategies that deliver the highest quality outcomes and suitably trained staff.
- Conduct and coordinate regular safety inspections within the workplace.
- Ensure safe work methods statements are completed within designated time frames.
- Facilitation of incident reporting, investigations as well as the managing the workplace incident investigation process.
- Conducting regular safety briefings and inductions.
- Implementation and action the project surveillance planning and activities.
- Ensure all project audits (internal and external) are arranged and complied with.
- Developing and implementing safety strategies that improve operational performance.
- Provide advice to all site personnel and employees ensuring each safety process is executed effectively and diligently.
- Engaging and relationship building with all levels of stakeholders
