We are seeking a science technician who will support the practical and technical aspects of the science curriculum by preparing, providing, maintaining, organising and managing the resources required for healthy, safe and secure, exciting practical activities to be carried out by staff and students.
This is a full time position available to start immediately from Monday to Friday and working hours will be 8:30 am-16:30pm.

Key Responsibilities:
... - Prepare experiments as directed by science teaching staff for lessons and clear away afterwards
- Maintain apparatus and equipment, as appropriate to the technician's skills
- Assist in the maintenance of stock levels and assist with all stock checks
- To maintain satisfactory standards of safety and security in accordance with academy policy
- To be familiar with the use of IT in teaching and learning
- Provide technical support to teachers in the laboratory during lessons when required
- Participate in training and other learning activities and performance development as required
- To undertake First Aid Training (First Aid at Work) and carry out that role, if required

Requirements/Skills:
- Experience of working as part of a team and able to manage workload
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- An enhanced DBS on the update service
- Minimum of A Level in a Science
- Interest in the science curriculum
- Understand the demands of a Science department
- Familiarity with technical equipment
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Good personal presentation and organisation
