We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to support our students in achieving their full potential. As a vital member of our team, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs, both in and out of the classroom.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
- Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their social and emotional well-being.
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver engaging and differentiated lessons.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the SENCO and teaching staff.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications or willingness to undergo training.
