Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our specialist setting in WF6, where we provide tailored support for children with Special Education needs. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in providing individualized care and guidance to students, empowering them to overcome obstacles and achieve their full potential.This is a temporary position starting in September 2024.

Role and Responsibilities:
-Assist pupils with practical activities using a variety of teaching aids.
-Create a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment.
-Supervise pupils with SEN, ensuring their safety and ability to access learning activities and understand the information presented.
-Build a trusting relationship with all pupils and communicate according to their understanding.
-Promote inclusion and acceptance, support diversity and ensure pupils have equal access to learning and development.
Requirements:
-A good understanding of the national Key Stage (KS) curriculum and child development and learning.
-The ability to demonstrate active listening skills and strong verbal communication skills, building positive relationships with pupils and understanding their needs.
-The ability to provide varying levels of individual attention, reassurance and support with learning tasks as appropriate to pupils' needs.
-The ability to provide constructive feedback to pupils in a way that reinforces self-esteem, handling complex and sensitive issues with empathy and understanding.
-Hold an Enhanced DBS or be willing to obtain one through randstad
-Must be eligible to work in the UK (No Sponsorship provided)
