The Role:
As a Maths/STEM teacher, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality education tailored to individual needs. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing stimulating and differentiated educational experiences aligned with DFE guidance.
- Collaborating with the supportive team to review and enhance the curriculum.
- Supervising and supporting Teaching Assistants to ensure effective classroom management.
- Implementing school policies, with a particular focus on safeguarding and equality of opportunity.
- Monitoring student well-being and progress, liaising with support teams and professionals as needed.
Key Duties:
- Delivering curriculum content with adaptability and creativity.
- Tailoring lessons to engage and support students with diverse learning needs, particularly those with ASD.
- Maintaining a nurturing classroom environment conducive to learning and growth.
- Contributing to the school's vision and ethos, promoting holistic student development.
- Evaluating teaching practices and implementing improvements as necessary.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to support student well-being and achievement.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Qualified Teacher status with a thorough understanding of SEN curriculum adaptation.
- Experience working with young people with ASD.
- Strong grasp of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
- Ability to build supportive relationships with students and manage varied learning approaches.
- Familiarity with strategies and visual teaching methods to engage reluctant learners.
