This ASX listed Financial Services organisation is growing and acquired some well known brands in Retail Finance.
As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will sit within the Group finance team, and be responsible for ensuring the financial reporting requirements are met.
... Some of the key responsibilities of the Senior Financial Accountant will include:
- Group’s month-end close process
- Reviewing the monthly P&L and balance sheet reconciliations for accuracy
- Identify improvements and standardisation of existing processes
- Providing oversight and mentoring to the junior accountants
- Assisting other Senior Finance team members in ensuring the management and statutory reporting deadlines are met
- Assist with the statutory reporting.
- Work collaboratively with the Finance team to meet group deadlines.
The successful Senior Financial Accountant should have the following experience and skills:
- Degree Qualified in an accounting/business discipline
- 3 + years experience in a financial accounting role, preferably from a Banking industry background or Big 4 Auditor background partnering the Banking and Financial Services industry
- Chartered Accountant or CPA certification preferred (or equivalent)
- Exceptional knowledge Accounting standards, principles, procedures, and standards
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exposure and understanding of risk and control frameworks
- Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative
