Driving force for a proactive safety culture with all employees and contractors. Involved in all aspects of developing and sustaining a safe work environment. Individual Responsibilities:
Lead the team in maintaining Mechanical Equipment’s (Boiler, Turbine, Fans, Pumps, Mills, LHP, AHP, CW system, Heat Exchangers, etc.) for routine, corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance.
Conduct inspections of boilers, pressure vessels, turbine, generator, and auxiliary equipment during forced and annual outages.
Provide technical support in preparation of specifications, evaluation of bid proposals, and organize work allocation to maintenance contractor and monitor progress to assure contract compliance. Oversight of contractors during outages to ensure proper QA/QC procedures are followed during execution of the work.
Develop and execute preventative maintenance and scheduled maintenance activities, outage and spares planning.
Plan and execute effective maintenance plan to meet plant objectives. Identify and build professional relationship with maintenance contractors to perform quality work within time and budget. Establish and maintain effective maintenance procedures, including planning of spares, scheduling, material support, and analysis of cost and performance, working with complete process of PR to PO.
Proficiently utilize MAXIMO tool to schedule work, prioritize work orders, maintain inventory, and procure spare parts and materials.
Direct activities of personnel assigned to Maintenance Department to ensure generating objectives and plant efficiency.
Ensure work orders are completed and closed promptly, using MAXIMO.
Work closely with Operations Manager to track facility service hours, equivalent starts, and other operating parameters to regularly update Major Maintenance Inspection schedules for Boiler, and Turbines. Preparation of Major Maintenance and annual maintenance budget/expense projections for inspections and overhauls. Track component repairs and schedules to ensure availability of replacement or refurbished parts.
Foresee and identify potential equipment issues that might cause future forced outages. Investigate plant incidents, accidents, unusual events, and provide analyses, recommendations, and action plan to mitigate occurrence of future incidents.
Evaluate equipment failures and conduct Root Cause Analysis to prevent reoccurrence.
Responsible for management of Plant outages including planning, scheduling and budgetary control.
Inter-department coordination, inspection, and re-certification of boiler, and pressure vessels.
Permit to work, Certificates as, Hot work permit, Confined space, Height work, follow up.
Responsible for implementation and maintaining the Integrated Management system.
