Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Perform system monitoring, analysis, and performance tuning to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect the network from cyber threats and unauthorised access.
- Troubleshoot network issues and provide timely resolution to minimise downtime.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to design and implement network upgrades and enhancements.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Requirements:
- Active NV1 or Baseline clearance is mandatory.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in system administration, with a focus on network administration.
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco networking products, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Solid understanding of networking protocols and technologies, such as TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and DNS.
- Experience with network monitoring tools and security protocols.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
