Key Accountabilities
1. Strategic Treasury Management
- Develop and implement a comprehensive treasury management strategy aligned with the corporate strategy.
- Ensure the organisation’s funding, liquidity, and cash flow are safeguarded and effectively managed.
- Oversee the design and delivery of the treasury strategy to ensure long-term profitability.
- Lead evaluations and reviews of business options, feasibility studies, due diligence exercises, financial restructuring, and financial models/projections.
2. Investment Management
- Manage investment portfolios through thorough market and sector analysis.
- Develop and maintain external relationships to support investment activities.
- Create and implement analytic models for evaluating FX risk exposures and hedging strategies.
3. Insights, Reporting, and Proposals
- Develop and implement detailed reporting strategies to provide management and the Board with clear and informative insights.
- Execute complex reports, identify and interpret patterns and trends, and make actionable recommendations.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation for corporate proposals, including board papers, announcements, and shareholder communications.
4. Risk Management and Compliance
- Develop and implement robust financial and investment risk management frameworks.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and stress testing to ensure financial resilience.
- Monitor compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Collaborate with internal audit and compliance teams to address any identified gaps and ensure best practices.
5. Policies and Procedures Development
- Develop and integrate policies, procedures, and guidelines for treasury and investment activities.
- Ensure compliance with national legal and regulatory requirements.

Qualification & Relevant Experience
Educational Qualification
- Degree or higher in Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
- Recognised accountancy/financial certifications (e.g., MICPA, CPA, CA, CMA, ACCA).
- Certification in Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) or Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) is an advantage.
Relevant Experience
- Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in treasury management, investment banking, or financial analysis.
- Proven track record of strategic thinking and leadership in a similar role.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modelling and risk management techniques.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements related to treasury and investment activities.
- Experience in the corporate sector or government-related organisations is highly desirable.
