Inspire young minds and foster a positive learning environment as a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant. Reporting to the Headteacher and class teacher, you'll be responsible for the education and welfare of your class, aligning with the National Curriculum and school policies.

Key responsibilities:
- Collaborating with the class teacher in the thoughtful planning, delivery, and assessment of engaging learning activities for KS1 pupils.
- Offering additional support or creating challenges for individual students or small groups in subjects like literacy, numeracy, and more.
- Thoughtfully monitoring and documenting the progress and achievements of pupils, providing constructive feedback to the teacher.
- Fostering positive behaviour and values among students, addressing any challenges with care and consideration.
- Providing gentle pastoral care and guidance to support the social and emotional development of pupils.
- Adhering to school policies and procedures, including those related to safeguarding, health and safety, equality, and diversity, with a compassionate approach.
Requirements
You do not need any formal qualifications to be a Teaching Assistant, but the following skills are essential:
- Looking for a teaching assistant who has high standards , is pupil centred and someone who is willing to work hard
- Provide 1:1 support to pupils
- Prior experience working with children is essential
- Fast learner
- Experience/understanding supporting children with special educational needs is preferential
Teaching Assistant work is ideal for:
- Graduates who are considering becoming teachers
- Nursery staff or Nannies who are looking for term-time work
- Sports coaches / Play leaders / Sunday school teachers / care workers
You will need an Enhanced DBS certificate to work with children (don't worry if you haven't got one, we can help you get one) and 2 references covering the past two years!
