We have a fantastic new opportunity for a Technical Engineer to join the British Airways Technical Support Group (TSG) within the Engineering organisation on a permanent basis at Heathrow!
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for improving aircraft performance through proactive use of Aircraft monitoring, preventive and prognostic tools.
- Analysis and definition of rectification plan for aircraft repetitive defects.
- Hold and/or being able to exercise EASA P21 approvals as required. EASA Part21 approval can be granted upon successful completion of a defined internal development path.
- Analysis and actions safety reports and repetitive defects
- Provides on-site specialist technical support as required with due regard for safety, technical, regulatory and commercial requirements.
- Sources and provides required approved data necessary to ensure safe maintenance / repair / modification of BA aircraft engines, components or products
- Responsible for following laid down technical procedures to deliver aircraft, engine and component technical, safety and cost performance targets along with continuous improvement of aircraft technical performance, engineering processes and procedures.
- Support business development and change initiatives in support of the business plan
- Supports optimal technical decision making across the team and leads technical discussions across departments, using expertise and considering the business effect
Requirements:
- Ability to hold CAA / EASA approvals or BA company approvals
- HNC / HND or equivalent in an Aerospace Engineering subject
- Recognised Aircraft Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent industry experience
- B1 / B2 Licence without Type rating.
