BASIC OBJECTIVE
R2R DM/Manager will be responsible for managing a team of accountants, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and driving process improvements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent leadership skills, and a keen attention to detail. R2R Manager is expected to primarily manage Fixed Assets process and General Ledger Accounting, guide the team on the overall operations delivery, drive process transformation, and support transitions of any new scope in terms of process or technology.
RESPONSIBILITIES
People
Manager and develop the team which includes all goal setting, results analysis and review for the group.
- Provide supervision of all tasks required for group related to R2R processes to be delivered.
- Relentless focus on improving delivery and process improvements.
- Model teamwork and build a strong, diverse team.
- Recognize and reward achievement.
- Promotes frank discussions and “own it” culture for team.
Process
- Oversee the operations to ensure we meet the operations metrics and joint accountability agreements defined.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders to improve end user/project manager experiences.
- Co-ordinate and review the reconciliations and resolve open items.
- Ensure timely capitalization of assets.
- Bridge the gaps and enable improved process of capitalization of assets.
- Actively participate with the businesses to ensure that Operating statements are in line with current strategic objectives of the organization.
Transformation
- Review the process and define the best practices to perform Fixed Asset Accounting in the most optimal way.
- Review and contribute to the policies and procedures of the overall accounting.
- Lead and support the projects that would help improve the R2R processes.
- Lead other projects in areas such as systems & Standardization projects and various other areas of the business.
- Lead process improvement projects with the Finance organization which may involve cross-functional teams from all business areas.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree or postgraduate in Accounting or Finance discipline
- 15+ years of working experience in planning or general accounting in an analytical capacity.
- Prior supervisory experience required.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.
- Excellent leadership skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience with financial software systems, SAP experience mandatory
