Responsibilities
• Organize and oversee the detailed planning and delivery of the IM work.
• Oversee and co-ordinate all the various application delivery projects and system configuration workstreams, prepare the necessary project PMO documents, and coordinate with the leads of the interrelated and parallel streams of work.
• Create a master work breakdown structure, master schedule, and coordinate project implementation tasks in collaboration with other project teams, within the Redevelopment project and across Fraser Health.
• Oversee risk, issue, and scope change management processes related to the IM deliverables.
• Engage as part of the IMIT Leadership team and work closely with other delivery managers and IMIT work stream leads.
• Liaise, collaborate, and work with FHA IM at Central City, through the IMIT Project expediters, to ensure that the IM deliverables are aligned with regional initiatives.
• Liaise, collaborate, and work with Operational Readiness, Clinical Planning and Clinical Operations to ensure that the IM delivery remains aligned with clinical needs and priorities across the application portfolio.
• Work with the Redevelopment Solution Architects to ensure that the application delivery projects remain aligned with RCH IM Master Plan and the solution models.
• Ensure that the application delivery plans and schedules are aligned and consistent with the construction design process, construction schedules and builder commissioning plans.
• Ensure consistency of project planning and status reporting across the multiple IM delivery projects and adherence to the Redevelopment IM Project Lifecycle and FHA lifecycles needs.
• Manage the project change control process and escalate significant changes as necessary.
• Work with the IMIT Core Team on major scope change assessments, decision-making and implementation schedule changes.
• Coordinate planning and scheduling with the IT specialist teams, in particular clinical End Use Devices, Multimedia (AV/VC), application related medical/building equipment and Digital Health.
• Develop the IM Go-LIVE plan by gathering input from the delivery teams for the build/configure, test, and Go-LIVE of the various IM application capabilities required for the clinical operations.
• Work with the Advance project to coordinate and facilitate the MEDITECH Expanse configuration work for the ACT.
• Support and provide guidance to the overall Redevelopment Go-LIVE planning, transition teams, change management and the support and sustainment organizations to ensure a smooth transition to operations.
• Develop the transition plan and provide assistance on how to operationalize the IM capabilities that will be delivered.
• Report project status and progress at scheduled points to the Executive Director, Capital Facility Projects, IM/IT Solutions, or his representative.
Qualifications
Mandatory Qualifications:
• Minimum 4 years of experience working on large scale IM/IT infrastructure projects in a project management role in the healthcare industry.
• Senior level consultant with skills and experience necessary to provide the desired services and deliverables above.
• Ability to take lead in an ambiguous, changing/reactionary priorities environment
• Able to efficiently prioritize and structure clear and unclear workloads.
• Open to rolling up your sleeves, applying subject matter understanding and to dive into the details to uncover optimal solutions to application design, implementation and hand-over sustain problems.
• Effective communication skills, and ability to interact with internal and external partners.
• Basic Computer setup and networking knowledge.
• Experienced in end user interaction including requirement elicitation, analysis, and solution design.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Healthcare industry experience in an IM or clinical informatics capacity.
• 4 years of experience working on large scale construction projects in an IM project management role in the healthcare industry.
• Formal project management training or certification.
