We are looking for a SEMH Inclusion Support worker to support children aged between 2-19 at a specialist SEN school based in the Leeds, LS13 area. This is a full-time role (8:30 AM- 4:00 PM; Monday to Friday).

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Aid children in hands-on activities utilising a range of instructional materials.
- Establish an environment that is structured, well-organised, and conducive to support.
- Oversee children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, ensuring their safety, engagement in learning activities, and comprehension of presented information.
- Cultivate a trustworthy rapport with all children and adapt communication to their individual comprehension levels.
- Advocate for inclusivity and tolerance, champion diversity, and guarantee equitable access to learning and growth for children.
Requirements:
- While having prior experience in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) setting is desirable, experience in alternative environments will also be taken into consideration.
- Having strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with children, parents or guardians, and colleagues is essential.
- Showing patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to meeting the educational needs of children with diverse requirements is a key attribute.
- Possessing knowledge of various special educational needs and the corresponding strategies is valuable.
- Being capable of collaborative teamwork, working alongside teachers, parents or guardians, and external professionals, is vital.
- Eligibility to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship is a requirement for this position.
