Are you a passionate and experienced social care professional with a drive to make a real difference in the lives of disabled children and their families? Hackney is seeking a dedicated Assistant Team Manager to join our Disabled Children's Team.The Disabled Children's safeguarding and support team works closely with multi-agency partners to provide holistic services to disabled children, young people, and their families. We recognise the unique vulnerabilities faced by disabled children and have developed a specialised team of highly motivated social workers with expertise in both safeguarding and disability.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supervise and support a team of social workers and family support practitioners to deliver high-quality services to disabled children and their families.
- Ensure compliance with current legislation and safeguarding practices.
- Forge strong relationships with colleagues from health, education, statutory agencies, and independent third-sector partners.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the team to promote effective service delivery and positive outcomes for children and families.
Requirements:
- Professional social work qualification.
- Registration with the Social Work England (SWE).
- Previous supervisory experience in a social care setting.
- Sound knowledge of current legislation and safeguarding practices.
- Experience working with disabled children is advantageous but not essential.
- The right candidate will be expected to be in the office 3 days a week
