6. Key Responsibilities:
General and Task Management
1. Determine cost estimate targets during the design and development process,
recommending cost-effective solutions_HR_TPL_JD_V1.1 Date of Release: 22.11.2023
2. Gather proposals, specifications, and related documents and liaise with stakeholders in
order to convert specifications to cost estimates for new and current products
3. Utilise cost methodologies and tools and appropriate software models and packages to
prepare and maintain reliable and accurate data
4. Establish cost estimates of production processes and costs involved and review
alternatives or put forward recommendations for improvement
5. Assess the cost-effectiveness of products and track actual costs relative to budget and
report status regularly to ensure costs are in line with forecasts
6. Monitor and review data and information to detect or assess problems
7. Investigate and identify cost reduction opportunities through a cost analysis review.
8. Contribute to cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures and monitor trends.
9. Prepare cost and expenditure statements, reports, and other necessary documentation at
regular intervals to share with others in the business
10. Support all activities in cost estimating and take a proactive approach toward
improvements.
11. Gather/download all tender documents, and specifications. Liaise with all stakeholders to
convert specifications to cost estimates for tenders.
12. Collate/plan documents as per tender requirements for submission before the due date.
