Bill Gates once said, “Success today requires the agility and drive to constantly rethink, reinvigorate, react, and reinvent.” This strikes me as being particularly relevant in our current environment.
We are certainly dealing with a lot of uncertainty these days. I hear regularly from clients that it’s difficult for them to plan for the medium-to-long-term when they don’t even know what to expect in the short-term.
At Randstad we know a lot about flexibility. It’s core to our business and we’ve seen how it can help people and organizations weather ups and downs. And how it’s sustained Randstad over our 60-year history.
So, my advice is to plan for change. Expect that things will speed up, slow down, reset. Position yourself and your business to respond to various scenarios. And, in doing so, you will be better able to capitalize on the opportunities that will inevitably come from change.
We’re in this together. And I expect that, by leading with agility, we will come out stronger on the other side.
