The Opportunity
Are you a detail-oriented HR professional looking for a meaningful contract role in the heart of Brisbane? We are seeking an AO4 HR Officer to join a dedicated Corporate Services team for an initial six-month engagement. This role is vital in providing high-quality HR support and advice to a diverse internal workforce, ensuring our people are empowered to deliver excellence.
The Role
Reporting to the HR Services Team Leader, you will manage a wide variety of operational HR tasks. Your day-to-day will involve being the first point of contact for employees and managers, ensuring HR processes are handled with accuracy and speed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advisory Services: Provide accurate and timely advice on general payroll, leave, entitlements, and recruitment processes.
- Recruitment & Appointments: Manage job advertisements and complete employment screening, including criminal history checks.
- Enquiry Management: Triage the HR inbox and phone enquiries, redirecting complex matters to relevant team members.
- Administration & Reporting: Assist with HR filing and provide support for routine HR reporting tasks.
- Research: Conduct research into routine HR matters to support policy and procedure application.

- HR Expertise: Strong knowledge of HR processes including recruitment, payroll, and leave administration.
- Service Focus: Proven ability to deliver effective HR support and provide timely, accurate advice to clients.
- Accuracy: High level of attention to detail and a commitment to meeting strict deadlines.
Independence: Ability to manage your own workload while contributing positively to the wider team.
