Job Opportunity: Compliance Officer (AO6)
Drive Excellence. Lead Integrity. Ensure Impact.
Are you a governance and quality assurance expert with a leadership mindset? Join a dedicated team responsible for ensuring operational excellence and regulatory integrity for one of Queensland’s largest service organisations.
The Role
As a Compliance Officer (AO6), you will move beyond simple monitoring to lead the strategic alignment of our organisational standards. While the role supports our Registered Training Organisation (RTO), we are looking for a leader who can oversee complex compliance frameworks, manage risk, and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
...- Location: Nundah
- Role Type: 3 months + potential to extend
- Reporting to: Executive Manager
Key Accountabilities
Your primary focus will be managing high-level compliance frameworks and providing the leadership necessary to foster a culture of accountability.
- Strategic Regulatory Management: Lead the oversight of compliance to ensure total alignment with legislation, regulations, and industry-specific standards.
- Systems Governance: Develop and maintain sophisticated policies, procedures, and version control systems that safeguard organisational integrity.
- Lead Auditing & Reporting: Coordinate comprehensive audit plans and translate complex data into actionable reports to drive rectification and excellence.
- Compliance Advisory: Act as a high-level consultant to staff and management, providing expert advice on design standards and professional development.
- Stakeholder Influence: Engage with industry bodies and internal leaders to ensure the organisation remains at the forefront of best practices.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a leader and influencer who demonstrates the behaviours of an Individual Contributor within the Queensland public sector leadership framework—someone who takes initiative and drives results through others.
Technical Experience & Requirements:
- Compliance Leadership: Proven experience in a compliance, quality assurance, or governance-heavy role. Experience within an RTO environment is highly regarded but not essential for a candidate with strong generalist compliance expertise.
- Project & Change Management: Demonstrated experience utilizing project management methodologies to implement compliance initiatives.
- Qualifications: A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is considered a significant advantage, but the ability to lead compliance systems is the priority.
