Responsibilities
The role supports month end and quarter end financial close activities, including preparing and posting journal entries and performing balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with established accounting policies. The incumbent independently manages assigned reconciliations, investigates variances, resolves issues on a timely basis, and escalates matters as appropriate. Responsibilities include executing and documenting SOX controls and creating and maintaining end to end finance and accounting process documentation, including process inputs, outputs, key controls, and stakeholders, to support audit requirements, control effectiveness, and knowledge transfer. The role may also contribute to process improvement initiatives, including streamlining close activities or supporting automation efforts (e.g., Alteryx, PowerApps), based on skill set and business needs
Qualifications
•Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (BBA or B.Com) or Finance is required.
•Professional Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
•Technical Expertise: * Strong hands-on experience with SAP is mandatory.
Nice to Have:
o knowledge of Alteryx or Powerpapps
o CPA ( a serious asset)
