Randstad is proud to currently be partnering with a prominent State Government Department in recruiting an AO3 Administration Officer. Based in Brisbane, this role sits within a highly collaborative Operational Hub.
The contract is structured from 15th June 2026 for 12 months with excellent potential for further extension. This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver high-quality administrative outcomes while developing fundamental public sector skills in a supportive, flexible team environment.
Your New Role
Operating within a fast-paced environment, your duties will include tasks such as, but not limited to:
Providing high-level administrative, project, executive, and corporate support to staff and management.
Assisting with financial and procurement processes, including processing invoices, raising purchase orders, and corporate credit card reconciliation.
Executing records management tasks, including file sorting, information retrieval, and registering/tracking incoming and outgoing correspondence.
Actively managing team inbox accounts and coordinating travel bookings/expense claims.
Assisting with HR administrative tasks and team recruitment processing support.
Arranging meetings, scheduling appointments, and preparing required facilities and equipment.
Working collaboratively across a business support network to ensure seamless corporate service delivery.
What You Will Need to Be Successful
Our client focuses on your core strengths, adaptability, and approachability. To be successful, you will need:
Developed proficiency in Microsoft Office. Previous exposure to SAP (highly desirable for processing invoices) or an understanding of formal government finance, HR, and record-keeping systems.
A proven ability to quickly learn new administrative processes and adapt to changing workloads.
A friendly, approachable demeanor combined with the ability to remain flexible, composed, and positive during busy delivery periods.
The capability to effectively work independently with a degree of autonomy while contributing positively to a diverse, inclusive team culture.
Competence in managing competing deadlines and organizing tasks effectively.
An absolute commitment to handling confidential, sensitive corporate and human resource information.
