Tired of unrealistic site targets and endless motorway miles?
If you are an experienced Asbestos Analyst who is fed up with being booked on back-to-back jobs with impossible timings, this opening offers a welcome change of pace.
We are partnering with an established, rapidly expanding environmental consultancy to support their dedicated South Coast team, strategically placing an analyst in the Worthing and Littlehampton corridor to ensure travel time remains sensible and controlled.
What sets this team apart is the culture from the top down. The branch manager started on the tools as a trainee surveyor over a decade ago, progressed through dual qualifications, and built the branch up from a small unit to a thriving team that has nearly tripled in size.
Because management has actually run 4-stage clearances and site monitoring themselves, they understand what is realistically achievable on site and actively protect their staff from burnout. You will not be micromanaged or overloaded with unworkable schedules.
Key responsibilities include:
... - Performing airborne fibre monitoring, background checks, leak testing, and reassurance air testing in accordance with HSG248 guidelines.
- Conducting thorough visual inspections and full 4-stage clearances (4SC) to issue Certificates of Reoccupation.
- Ensuring complete technical compliance and dropping samples off efficiently to maintain UKAS laboratory workflows.
- Acting as a calm, professional representative on-site when liaising with licensed asbestos removal contractors (LARCs) and end clients across local authority, NHS trust, commercial, and construction settings.
- Operating autonomously across the local patch with a fully equipped company van supplied from day one.
The Rewards Package
This consultancy prides itself on industry-leading staff retention-people join to build a long-term home, and staff rarely leave unless exiting the industry altogether. They recognise high-quality technical diligence and reward it directly in your monthly pay packet:
- Monthly Performance Bonus: An extra bonus of up to £160 per month based on doing the job properly, maintaining high compliance standards, and submitting reports without errors.
- Six-Monthly Reward Bonus: Up to £300 awarded following your appraisal to recognise reliability and overall contribution.
- Generous Holiday Allowance: 21 days annual leave starting entitlement, increasing with tenure up to a maximum of 35 days (including bank holidays).
- Healthcare Support: Private medical insurance following probation, covering health advice, counselling, and mental health resources.
- Pension Scheme: 5% employer pension contribution (with a 3% employee contribution via salary sacrifice).
- Tools & Transport: Fully equipped, modern company van provided, keeping business mileage and equipment hassle off your personal plate.
What You Need to Bring
- Certifications: BOHS P403 and P404 certificates (or RSPH equivalent) are essential. (Dual-qualified candidates holding P402 are also warmly welcomed).
- Experience: Demonstrable hands-on experience carrying out site air monitoring and running 4-stage clearances independently.
- Mindset: A quality-first approach to compliance, clean paperwork, and punctuality. This role is suited to someone looking for stable career progression in a supportive environment rather than someone jumping between jobs for short-term pay bumps.
- Licence: A valid, clean UK driving licence.
