We are looking for an Automation OT Engineer to join a dynamic industrial environment and support the evolution of Operational Technology (OT) infrastructure, cybersecurity, and automation systems.
You will play a key role in both project delivery and operational support, contributing to system upgrades, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement of industrial IT/OT environments.
Role Overview
As part of the Automation team, you will provide technical expertise and support across OT infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, security, and compliance within a regulated environment.
You will be involved in system upgrades, data management, and automation projects, working closely with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Coordination (?50%)
Manage and contribute to automation and OT-related projects
Support system lifecycle activities (upgrades, migrations, improvements)
Define and implement data management strategies for new equipment
Contribute to technical design, specifications, and documentation
IT/OT Operations (?40%)
Provide technical support for OT infrastructure and systems
Manage and maintain virtualized environments (VMware)
Support network architecture (routing, VLANs, firewalls, industrial networks)
Ensure cybersecurity compliance and patch management (Windows/Linux)
Support database environments (Oracle, MS SQL)
Training & Administration (?10%)
Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to internal teams
Support documentation, reporting, and administrative tasks
Profile & Experience
Required:
Degree in Industrial IT / Automation / OT or equivalent
~5 years of experience in industrial environments (pharma, chemical, food or similar)
Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment
Strong understanding of change control and validation processes
Experience in project management within OT/automation environments
Technical Skills:
OT lifecycle management and system upgrades (Windows, Linux)
Virtualization: VMware vSphere / ESXi
Industrial IT/OT architecture (networks, VLANs, routing, firewalls)
Industrial protocols (e.g. Ethernet/IP)
Databases: Oracle, MS SQL
Cybersecurity in industrial environments
Patch management processes
SCADA / HMI systems and communication protocols
Data management concepts and architecture
