We are looking for an Automation OT Technician to support the Operational Technology (OT) infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, security, and performance within a regulated industrial environment.
You will be part of an Automation team, contributing to the maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of IT/OT systems supporting production and operations.
Role Overview
In this role, you will provide hands-on technical support for OT systems, focusing on system stability, patching, data management, and coordination with cross-functional teams.
This is a technical, operational role with strong exposure to industrial IT systems, cybersecurity, and automation environments.
Key Responsibilities
IT/OT Operations & Support (?90%)
Provide technical support for OT infrastructure and systems
Perform patching and updates (Windows & applications), including testing and validation
Support data management processes (e.g. OPC UA and data layers)
Investigate and resolve technical issues in collaboration with users and teams
Contribute to system improvements and optimization initiatives
Coordination & Investigation
Work closely with IT, engineering, and production teams
Support change control processes and implementation of system updates
Assist in identifying priorities and proposing technical solutions
Prepare and maintain technical documentation
Training & Administrative Tasks (?10%)
Support documentation, reporting, and knowledge sharing
Assist with training and onboarding where required
Profile & Experience
Required:
Degree in Industrial IT / Automation (CFC, ES Technician or equivalent)
2–3 years of experience in an industrial environment (pharma, chemical, food or similar)
Knowledge of GMP environments and validation/change control processes
Good knowledge of Microsoft tools and environments
Technical Skills:
Patching processes (Windows & application updates)
Data management and industrial data layers (e.g. OPC UA)
Basic experience in writing technical documentation (functional/design specs)
Familiarity with standard IT tools and environments
Nice to Have:
Cybersecurity knowledge in OT environments
Industrial networks (routing, VLANs, firewalls, Ethernet/IP)
Linux systems (administration and updates)
SCADA / HMI systems and communication protocols
Database knowledge (Oracle, MS SQL)
