Responsibilities
As a Disability Calculation Analyst, your duties will be:
•Long Term Disability claim approvals
•Benefit Adjustments and recovering benefits overpaid
•Financial duties such as stop payments, voids, refund deposits, Garnishments, processing TD1s and calculating employment income offsets on a frequent basis.
•Performing other related tasks
Qualifications
•Excellent communication skills oral and written in French and English is required.
•Post-secondary education in Accounting, Commerce or Finance.
•Experience with accounting, finance, payroll, bookkeeping, benefit payment or related duties in an administrative/clerical role would be an asset however University / College graduates would also be considered.
•Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook / Office 365
•Knowledge of medical terminology and/or insurance terminology would be an asset
•Strong customer service experience in a demanding environment would be an asset
•Insurance claims knowledge or experience
•Knowledge of Group Benefits
•Knowledge of Military Terminology
•Excellent organizational skills
•Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills with strong mathematical aptitude
•Analytical skills with a close attention to detail
•Ability to work effectively in a team environment
•Deadline driven
