WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE
As a Site Boilermaker Welder, your day to day duties will be fast paced and varied, playing a pivotal role in operational uptime:
- Performing quality Stick (MMAW) and MIG (GMAW) welding out on site in accordance with Australian standards.
- Conducting critical preventative maintenance and structural repairs on heavy equipment, including conveyors and mobile plant machinery.
- Fault finding, gouging, cutting, fabricating, and replacing worn parts on heavy industrial structures.
- Working effectively inside designated confined spaces and performing structural modifications at heights.
- Collaborating closely with the on site mechanical maintenance team to ensure swift turnaround times with zero compromise on safety.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE JOB
To be successful in this position, you must possess a strong safety first attitude and hold the following current qualifications and skills:
- Trade Certificate: Australian Recognised Boilermaker Trade Qualification.
- Confined Space Entry Ticket: Current / refreshed within the last 2 years (Essential).
- Working at Heights Ticket: Current / refreshed within the last 2 years (Essential).
- Construction White Card: Mandatory for site access.
- Demonstrated capability in Stick welding, MIG welding, and gouging on heavy plant/ conveyors.
- Proven track record of reliability, strong communication skills, and the capability to pass a comprehensive pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen.
