Do you have experience in civil construction working on timber and concrete structures? This is an opportunity for ongoing work across a range of bridge maintenance and construction projects for Brisbane City Council. You will be based out of a Brisbane City Council depot in Kangaroo Point.
About your new role
...
You will assist with the maintenance and building of concrete and timber bridges around Brisbane. You will be someone who adheres to WHS practices. Some of your duties may include:
- Installing girders, headstocks, columns, deckings and handrails.
- Building and erecting formwork and formwork shutters for pile cappings, abutments, headstocks, columns and slabs.
- Steel fixing.
- Interpretation of and working from site specification plans and drawings.
- Dogman and rigging duties.
- Elevated Work Platform (EWP) operation.
- Truck operation.
- Material collection and delivery to site.
What you will need to exceed
It is essential that you have the following tickets and licenses:
- Carpentry or bridge construction experience
- Valid MR or HR truck licence (Highly deseirable)
- Working at heights.
