Business Analyst Cars - Manage & Support Location: Booking Holdings Centre of Excellence, Bengaluru About us The Manage and Support group within Cars look after the post-book customer experience from a full stack perspective. Currently the Car Booking Engine comprises the following services; CRBMS, BOS, Hermes and Booking Engine. It is responsible for creating, viewing or managing car booking details for Rentalcars, Booking.com and all our affiliate partners. As part of delivering the Connected Trip (the ability for a customer to create an order comprising products from different Booking.com verticals, i.e. Cars, Accommodation, Flights etc), we are building a new booking flow with deeper integration into centralised capabilities available from other teams within Booking.com. Whilst this work goes on, the business must continue to operate and output customer and shareholder value. Manage & Support currently are building a team in the Centre of Excellence to own, optimise and maintain the existing Booking Engine, core to the businesses ability to deliver new product features and enhancements. About the role We are looking for a highly motivated Business Analyst who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment to join our team on a 6 month contract. Our Business Analysts understand the goals and objectives of products within the Trips Business Unit, decipher and communicate requirements, and help devise effective solutions that are in line with our strategic aims. They are responsible for interpreting requirements from Booking.com internal teams and other tasks contributing to the definition and implementation of products within the department. They collaborate with stakeholders and representatives of the business, as well as multi-disciplinary software delivery teams across TBU. Key responsibilities To succeed in our fast paced working environment you will need to: ● Understand & help to maintain vision across the whole team - be aware of the end goal for the solution and work towards it. ● Lead requirements gathering sessions with various groups of stakeholders. ● Work closely with Product Managers, Engineering Managers and stakeholders from across teams in the Centre of Excellence, Manchester and Amsterdam to collect, understand, organise and document the business requirements for products, projects and features, translating these into written specifications and use cases. ● Communicate & present requirements to stakeholders and delivery team. ● Be comfortable communicating technical issues in a way that makes the business impact clear. ● Facilitate decision making with stakeholders and the development team. ● Investigate and evaluate solutions using a range of approaches, including researching competitor products, commercially available solutions, other Booking products and services. ● Support, facilitate, or execute acceptance tests, ensuring the delivered solution meets the business requirements and agreed quality criteria. ● Assist stakeholders with the process of prioritising requirements and tasks. ● Collaborate and interact with delivery teams contributing to the definition and delivery of the product and supporting processes/workflows to a high standard, within agreed timescales and within budget. ● Gather, analyse, and report usage data or other such relevant data in support of measuring the performance of products. Key attributes ● Requirements documenting for various audiences - both technical & non-technical ● Knowledge/skill in multiple methodologies such as Agile and other iterative development methodologies. ● Understanding and experience of business analysis skills, techniques, and practices with an eye for detail. ● Ability to simplify complex problems, processes or projects into component parts and be able to explore and evaluate them systematically. ● Experience of deadline driven environment with rapid release cycles. ● Expected outcomes and success factors The role is expected to deliver: ● Requirements specifications, proposals, statements of work, and other documentation which describes the products which fall within the remit of the department; ● Acceptance criteria and other measurement criteria against which the product’s quality, value, and performance can be evaluated; ● Change requests, impact assessments, and plans and prioritisation of these within the product roadmap; ● Collaborative, professional, and successful relationships with our teams and business unit representatives Contact us for more details and come and join us to make this happen.
