Responsibilities
• Work as a hands-on application analyst/developer to provide application solutions to the business.
• handling crisis situations and disaster recovery
• controlling the PRD stats like incident, problems, user requests and breaks.
• Analyse business needs and recommend viable IT solutions to meet these requirements.
• Design, develop and implement IT solutions to meet business needs, according to established standards and best practices.
• Conduct and support testing to ensure the quality of all deliverables.
• Produce documentation on system solutions to ensure their maintainability and smooth implementation.
Qualifications
Must Haves:
• At least 3+ years relevant IT experience in Calypso support
• Experience of handling crisis situations and disaster recovery.
• Relevant Experience of working in PRD and Incident management.
• Expertise in controlling the PRD stats like incident, problems, user requests and breaks.
• Knowledge of detecting the potential breaks in PRD and proactive measure implementation.
• Business knowledge of Derivatives markets and preferably the back office knowledge. As well as derivative products such as Credit. Interest Rate and Equity Derivatives, Commodities and FXOptions.
• Good knowledge of Calypso as a back office system gained through experience with settlements and accounting functionality.
• Experience of continuous delivery using the devops practices. Knowledge of at least 3 of the following Jenkins, JIRA, CICD, Illumio, Tardio, Rundeck, Maven.
• Knowledge of Unix Shell or PERL or Python Scripting.
• Good knowledge of Control M and automated scheduling process.
• Good to have an experience on Ticketing Tools like GSD or Service Now or Remedy.
• Good experience of working multi tier back-office applications having a strong knowledge of database and SQL queries. (gained through either Sybase, Oracle or SQL-Server. preferably Sybase)
• Derivatives back office process, workflows for trade subscription, confirmation, settlement and cash accounting.
• Version control tools like GIT, RTC.
• Knowledge of Fixed Income products
Nice to Haves:
• Good knowledge of Core Java (preferably on Java 8) and RMI
• Good knowledge of DevOps and AGILE principles.
• Knowledge of Middleware Technologies preferably IBM WebSphere MQ/Solace.
• Will have a proven track record delivering Java stand-alone applications gained through commercial experience. Should have a good understanding of client server architecture and RMI based application.
• Excellent communication skills with business.
• A university graduate with degree in IT or a related discipline
• A fast learner with effective planning, organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proactive, possess an outgoing personality, self-motivated and be able to work independently and under pressure
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal. Strong presentation skills with fluent written and spoken English.
• Jenkins, Ant build, Maven, Continuous integration.
• Able to handle crisis situations without any slippage on timely communication.
• Comfortable operating in an “agile” development team, self-starting, motivated.
