As a Category Manager, you will support the development and execution of category strategies across all Capex projects within your assigned portfolio. This involves managing large-scale engineering, construction, and equipment contracting programs in a high-stakes international environment.
- Strategy & Analysis: Identify the project pipeline, conduct risk/opportunity assessments, and perform deep-dive internal analyses (spend, scope, incumbent performance) to build robust category strategies.
- Market Intelligence: Build a comprehensive understanding of the global market landscape and integrate these insights into the sourcing strategy.
- Sourcing Excellence: Lead the Source-to-Contract process for major contracts, utilizing advanced negotiation tactics to optimize commercial terms.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering to identify standardization opportunities and evaluate low-cost-country sourcing (LCCS) options to reduce TCO.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the Single Point of Contact for strategic suppliers and lead Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) activities.
- Project Alignment: Cooperate with Project Procurement Managers (PPMs) to ensure category strategies are correctly translated into individual project activities.
- Risk & Compliance: Proactively manage supply and operational risks, participate in claim management, and ensure full compliance with internal standards and audits.
