The CCR Operator is responsible for monitoring and controlling the operation of the cement plant’s central control room (CCR). The role ensures efficient, safe, and continuous production of clinker and cement by managing kiln, raw mill, cement mill, and related equipment through DCS/SCADA systems.
Key Responsibilities:Operate and monitor plant equipment such as kiln, raw mill, coal mill, and cement mill from the Central Control Room.
Optimize process parameters to achieve maximum production, quality targets, and energy efficiency.
Conduct regular checks on production equipment and report abnormalities.
Coordinate with field operators to ensure smooth plant operations.
Analyze process data, trends, and alarms to take timely corrective action.
Ensure adherence to SOPs, safety guidelines, and environmental norms.
Assist in troubleshooting process issues to minimize downtime.
Prepare shift production reports and maintain logs.
Communicate with the quality and maintenance teams for corrective measures.
Support in plant start-ups, shutdowns, and equipment changeovers.
Strong knowledge of cement manufacturing processes.
Hands-on experience in DCS/SCADA systems (e.g., Siemens, ABB, FLSmidth).
Analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to handle shift operations.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
ITI / Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Production Engineering.
2–7 years experience as CCR Operator in a cement plant (kiln/raw mill/cement mill operations).
