We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chinese Interpreter to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of both Chinese and English, with a proven ability to facilitate clear and accurate communication in a professional setting. This role is crucial for supporting our operations within the steel industry in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand.
Responsibilities:- Provide real-time interpretation services between Chinese and English speakers during meetings, production processes, and other business interactions.
- Ensure accurate and nuanced translation of technical terminology specific to the steel industry.
- Facilitate effective communication between local teams and Chinese stakeholders to ensure project alignment and smooth operations.
- Assist in bridging cultural gaps and ensuring mutual understanding in diverse work environments.
- Contribute to the seamless flow of information, upholding the professional standards of our organization.
- Translate documents and other written materials as required.
- Minimum of 6 years of professional experience as a Chinese Interpreter.
- Maximum of 15 years of professional experience as a Chinese Interpreter.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken Chinese and English.
- Experience as a translator, with a focus on production environments.
- Familiarity with the steel industry and its technical language is highly advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Any relevant certification or degree in translation, interpretation, or a related field is acceptable.
