Civil Construction Supervisor - Telecommunications
Location: Based in Dandenong, Victoria (with extended remote travel required)
Salary: $130,000 per annum + superannuation + (LAFHA)
The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and adaptable Civil Construction Supervisor to oversee civil construction projects for our client, focusing on concrete placement, reinforcement placement, and the erection of formwork. In this role, you will implement site-level project activities to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to strict quality and safety regulations:
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise projects to ensure they are delivered safely, on time to specifications, and within budget constraints.
- Oversee the construction of communication masts and towers, including radio and TV towers.
- Complete and interpret as-constructed drawings and client completion documentation.
- Ensure that before work commences, all plant and equipment on site is fit for purpose and has been checked for compliance.
- Ensure that Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) are reviewed, modified for site-specific conditions, understood, and signed by all workers and contractors.
- Identify design anomalies and manage them in a timely manner as per client requirements.
- Maintain efficient daily site and diary record keeping.
- Ensure that rework is eliminated by following appropriate verification checks throughout the job.
- Supervise and coach direct reports to assist in establishing a culture of personal development.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Must have end-to-end Greenfield site build experience in Telecommunications.
- Qualifications: Trade or Civil Construction Tertiary qualification (or relevant discipline) with a minimum of 3 years' experience working in a similar position.
- Technical Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of general concepts of civil construction engineering and telecommunications field practices.
- Travel & Remote Work: The ability to travel and work away from home for extended periods is essential. You must be able to work in remote and isolated areas and travel via planes and helicopters in and out of sites.
- Licences: Must hold a current White Card, Driver’s Licence
