About The Role

An exciting opportunity exists for a self-motivated, experienced and capable Construction Superintendent to join our client’s project team. This position is based either as a work from home or office based, with regular site travel.

The main focus of the role will be delivering a variety of civil piping projects. The incumbent will lead site based teams of plumbers and operators and liaise closely with client teams and sub-contractors to execute projects.

This role requires an experienced and motivated individual that can work with a high level of autonomy and has capability through the full range of projects from initial project development, through to execution and commissioning.

About You

To be successful for this role, you will have:

• Tertiary qualifications in mechanical engineering, project management or similar experiences desirable
• Demonstrated civil industry experience, predominantly in projects and with significant exposure to site construction, operations and maintenance projects
• Strong project team management experience
• Previous experience building and maintaining relations with clients, suppliers and other key stakeholders
• Self-motivated and has the ability to work with a high level of autonomy
• Sound understanding of project and construction management
• A likeable and energetic personality, with the ability to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget

Essential Qualifications:

• At least 5 years project management experience in civil or related industry
• Experience in the supervision of operators, pipe fitters, sub-contractors and other personnel
• Previous exposure to SA Water piping projects is highly desirable
• Excellent computing skills
• Current Driver’s License
• Experience in project management and management of budgets
