We’re currently partnering with a major defence industry partner seeking experienced Commercial officers and advisors for key opportunities supporting critical Defence projects across Adelaide.
These roles offer the chance to work on diverse, high-impact programs across air, land, sea, cyber, space, and nuclear domains, contributing to national security outcomes while furthering your career within a complex commercial environment.
The role is based largely onsite outside of the CBD.
Key Responsibilities
... - Providing commercial advice and end-to-end contract management support across Defence programs.
- Developing, reviewing, and managing goods and services (including ICT) contracts, procurement documentation, RFQs, RFPs, and commercial artefacts.
- Managing contract extensions, variations, contract claims, and commercial change proposals.
- Preparing commercial reports, executive briefs, approval documentation, and presentations.
- Monitoring contractor performance, contractual compliance, and identifying commercial risks, issues, and opportunities.
- Collaborating with Defence, government, and industry stakeholders to drive successful project delivery and participate in governance forums.
- Contributing to continuous improvement activities and commercial best practice.
About You
We’re looking for candidates who have:
- Proven experience in commercial management, contract management or procurement within defence.
- Experience with ASDEFCON and Commonwealth contracting procurement frameworks (essential).
- Strong knowledge of Defence commercial, procurement policies, and governance processes.
- Demonstrated involvement in tender evaluations, panel coordination, and complex contract management.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to assess risk and write high-level submissions and briefs.
- Active NV1 Security Clearance.
