show moreOur vibrant secondary schools in Bromborough (CH62) need seasoned Cover Supervisors who can walk into any classroom, command immediate respect, and keep the day running seamlessly.
If you already know how to manage a room of 30 teenagers, instantly diffuse low-level disruption, and keep students motivated without skipping a beat, we want you on our elite team.
Whether you are an experienced Cover Supervisor, a former teacher, an HLTA, or a behaviour specialist with a proven track record in UK secondary schools-your expertise is highly valued here.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children (e.g., Teaching Assistant, Support Worker, Coaching, tutoring, etc..) in either mainstream environments or SEN (Special Educational Needs) settings.
- An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for a new one).
- Strong presence and confidence to manage groups of students.
- Clear, assertive, and professional communication skills.
Duties:
- Supervise secondary school classes (Ages 11-16) in the absence of the classroom teacher.
- Deliver pre-set work and lesson plans left by the subject teacher.
- Maintain a focused, safe, and positive learning environment.
- Manage classroom behaviour efficiently using the school's behaviour policy.
- Assist students with their queries and keep them on-task.
- Collect completed work at the end of the lesson and return it to the department.
- Report back on any student achievements or behavioural issues using school systems.
